Can Students Work in Malta?

Students on courses exceeding 90 days may be allowed to work, subject to Jobsplus conditions. In general, eligible students may work up to 20 hours per week, and some students can only start working after the first 3 months of study.

Important Notes

  • CVU preliminary clearance does not guarantee visa approval.
  • Applicants may still be interviewed or asked for additional documents.
  • Schools may be required to report attendance and progress to Maltese authorities.

Before applying, students should always check the latest official checklist from Identità or the relevant visa application centre, as visa rules and fees can change.
